Eaton 5130 UPS
| The Eaton 5130 Rack/Tower UPS provides high-density power protection for critical loads from 1000-3000 VA --- delivering more performance in less space at a value price. With a two-in-one rack/tower form factor, the 5130 UPS packs up to three kVA of power into only 2U of rack space. The 5130 UPS provides additional battery runtime with 2U extended battery modules. To enhance compatibility with modern IT loads, the 5130 UPS is designed with a 0.9 power factor. |
Eaton 5130 - Features
- Conserves valuable rack space with 2U form factor that includes internal batteries
- Provides more real power (watts) to protect more equipment and leave room for expanding IT systems with a 0.9 power factor
- Maximizes availability with extended battery runtime options, hot-swappable batteries and optional maintenance bypass
- Extends battery runtime for critical devices with load segments
- Offers choice of rackmount or tower installation with two-in-one form factor (4-post rail kit and tower pedestals included)
- Delivers control and visibility with free power management software featuring an intuitive user interface
| The Eaton 5130 product line was recently expanded to include 1000, 1500 and 2200 VA models. These line-interactive models are specifically designed for protecting Information Technology (IT) systems, as well as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and EDGE/3G/WiMAX wireless networking equipment, against damaging power fluctuations and outages. |
With addition of the new models, the 5130, which is covered under a three-year warranty, helps to meet the growing need for affordable yet feature-rich power protection. The new 1000 VA model delivers a true 1000 watts of power compared with competitive systems that typically offer only 700 watts. With reduced heat dissipation in dense rack environments, the two-in-one rack and tower configurations are available in slim 2U (3.50 inches) and 3U (5.25 inches) reduced-depth form factors.
Operating at up to 94-percent efficiency, the 5130’s high-efficiency design reduces heat, thereby decreasing expensive cooling costs. Moreover, with power factors always higher than 0.9, the 5130 delivers more wattage in less space to protect more equipment and leave more room to expand IT systems.

Additional features of the 5130 include the following:
| Hot-swappable internal batteries. Users can easily swap out batteries without interruption of power. Slim 2U external battery modules can be quickly added to provide hours of backup time. |
| Intuitive power-management software. Intelligent Power® Manager provides visibility over all of the UPSs and power distribution units, regardless of their brand, using an intuitive, graphical interface and SNMP. |
| NetWatch 5.0 software. This conducts automatic shutdown of UPS-protected devices and is compatible with the latest virtualization environment such as VMware’s ESXi and vSphere 4.0 or Microsoft Hyper-V. |
| Shedding loads in segments. Users can independently control output receptacles to selectively shed loads during an outage and save battery runtime, to remotely reboot systems or to manage sequential startups and conserve energy by switching-off idle devices. |
Numerous options. Extended battery modules, Web/SNMP cards, a hot-swap maintenance bypass switch, rack-mounted power distribution units, and extended-warranty plans are available.
